…they really need to improve check in procedures at Arlanda Airport and pay more attention to allergies onboard.
I flew 3 routes with them in business class during these winter holidays. All of them were on a A321-200. I do really like Lufthansa but when it come to ground staff and check in procedures they really need to shape up.
Check in and boarding
As you can see from the images below there was a big cue for business class check in. The fact is that the economy line had no cue and when I asked if they could proceed and check in us from business class they answered “no!”. Very unpleasant to cue for 30 minutes for check in and bagage drop.
Why pay extra for business class on short haul routes if you do not get any extra service on ground as the seats are the same as economy on the aircraft. And it is not finished……
Arriving to security you are entitled to a fast…i repeat..fast track….The cue there as you can see below was huge. I went to the economy line and passed in 10 minutes.
Also here some minor issues. We cued on stairs for 15 minutes in Munchen before boarding a bus. They should at least have a private bus for business class clients. As I repeat where is the point of paying extra on a short haul if there is no extra services on ground ??
Check in is via ground staff if you travel i Business and via automatic doors in economy. No ID check is required….mmm…strange!
Standard A321-200. 2-2 with the seat in the middle empty and with a quite handy small tray.
Seat 2 D has the best leg room in the aircraft!
Is you sit on row 2 (which is the first row) A,B, E or F the table is a very comfortable one, attached to the wall infront of you.
Blow seat 2 A. less legroom but it will do fine for a 2,5 hrs flight.
Toilet is spoil and no amenities at all. Buuuuuu
Very good and happy staff on 2 routes. The last route from Munchen to Arlanda the staff was very unprofessional. The did not serve properly, adress the clients in a good way. I will not go into details. I understand we are all humans and can have a bad day. But a smile does not cost anything.
They served food I was allergic on on 2 flights. Also if i had done my choice before….be very careful! Onboard they do not even have the ingredient list anymore!!!
They served Champagne from and an old bottle. I had to tell them to open a new one…the flight attendant was not happy about that and she did indeed let me understand she was p**ed off….
Food was ok. Only that they serve with no attention to the ingredient and allergies onboard…..i had to eat a cake from the economy class for lunch….
-good food (but be careful if you´re allergic or intollerant)

-Seat 2 D with plenty of legroom.

– fast track. Shall we call it Last track as economy was quicker and shorter????
-Boarding cueing on stairs, cold, for along time…
