..from the top of a skyscraper in downtown Nihonbashi Tokyo.
Mandarin Oriental Tokyo -SpaI stayed here for 2 nights. This is worth a visit also if not staying in the hotel for a drink at night.
The hotel is situated on the last 10 floors.
Set in the Nihonbashi business district. Very centrally located and well connected to the other areas of Tokyo.
The rooms are spacious and silent. The decor is asiatic and with a bathroom facing the room. There is a curtain which can be pulled down for privacy.
Down service is of course provided. Put the forgot to prepare the bed…..
Pjs and bathsuites are provided for free.
The view is just breathtaking.
Small sink for my perosnal taste. Good amenities.
Of course the modern Japanese toilets with warm seating 🙂
Tv next to the bathtub. Each room has separate shower and bathtub.
LOBBY & COMMON AEREAS
Check in is done on the 38th floor and the rooms and on the floor below that. So you go down to your room not up.
The view from the lobby and front desk is amazing especially at night.
The have a wine cellar, very exclusive and many different restuarants and some very small and all need booking long time ahead as the famous Molecular restaurant Tapas. Also real oven baked pizza can be found here and a real Italian chef i spoke with 🙂
They have 10 different options to choose between form Sushi to Italian to Molecular kithcen. I did not taste the food in the hotel but i have only heard good reviews also if the price tag is sometimes a bit too high.
I will let the picures below speak for themselves.
– Service is at the top here. Nothing out of control.
-Location and views from rooms and common areas and SPA
– A little more snobby and not the same quality on the guests as their competitor Shangri-La in Tokyo.
-Smoke is everywhere in the lobby bar and check in aerea which is above the bar.
Check in/front Desk service ★★★★★★★★☆☆
