…with elegance and style.
Amazing sea views from most of the rooms with sunsets right in front of the hotel. Trieste is famous for being a “Wien” on the Mediterranean sea and where the “Barcolana” is held every year, the biggest sailboat regata. Every detail shimmers with historic grandeur – from the Belle époque style skylight above the lounge to the rich fabrics.
Standing on the historic seafront, the Savoia Excelsior Palace offers stunning panoramic views across the Gulf of Trieste. Stroll out of the hotel, past peaceful marinas, and within minutes you’ll be in the thriving center of Trieste.
Alternatively, escape the city center and explore the famous Castello di Miramare, also nearby.
The hotel has 144 rooms and suites with classical elegance and a bit of contemporary touches. You’ll find sumptuous beds, marble bathrooms and many rooms offer panoramic views out across the Trieste Gulf.
I slept in a Junior Suite on the last floor. I highly recommend this category or higher on a high floor facing the sea.
Spacious living area and good Illy coffee machine.
Amazing view form our 2 balconies!
Etro amentities. Spacious bathroom.

Once you enter you understand you are in a 5 star hotel also if officially it is a 4 star due to medical congresses….
The library is my favorite corner. Very relaxing with the dark wood and very cosy.
1 restaurant which serves also a breakfast room. The hotel has also 9 meeting rooms with stunning views over the sea.
