…with elegance and style.

Amazing sea views from most of the rooms with sunsets right in front of the hotel. Trieste is famous for being a “Wien” on the Mediterranean sea and where the “Barcolana” is held every year, the biggest sailboat regata. Every detail shimmers with historic grandeur – from the Belle époque style skylight above the lounge to the rich fabrics.
Location
Standing on the historic seafront, the Savoia Excelsior Palace offers stunning panoramic views across the Gulf of Trieste. Stroll out of the hotel, past peaceful marinas, and within minutes you’ll be in the thriving center of Trieste.

Alternatively, escape the city center and explore the famous Castello di Miramare, also nearby.
Rooms
The hotel has 144 rooms and suites with classical elegance and a bit of contemporary touches. You’ll find sumptuous beds, marble bathrooms and many rooms offer panoramic views out across the Trieste Gulf.
I slept in a Junior Suite on the last floor. I highly recommend this category or higher on a high floor facing the sea.
