..before heading off to Machu Pichu.
I stayed here for 2 nights to get used to the high altitudes before heading towards Machu Pichu and Cusco. It is located also very good to discover other historical sites such as Ollantaytambo

The resort is developed on a slop so each rooms is facing the valley and the river. All rooms have a small garden and the silence is total.
Location
Set on the banks of the rushing Urubamba River, this luxury hotel is built in natural materials to resemble an authentic Andean village.

Behind the walls of the hotel there is a private small train station only for the hotel guest that brings you directly to Machu Pichu. One of the most amazing train rides in my life.
Rooms
The rooms are very spacious. With a living area and direct access to your garden.

The furniture is a bit old and worn out. Some refurbishment is needed.

Beds are quite comfortable and you can sleep with the window open and the only sound you will have is the river.

Nice a and private gardens where to relax, read a book or do some Yoga.

Bathrooms are big but what is a coffee machine doing there? Amenities were great and the most beautiful thing is the shower with a huge glass roof and window where you can see the colibri flying in the bushes.

The view from the room and garden is breathtaking and yes you are already short of breath when you stay here due to the altitude.
Lobby & Common areas
Between the hotel and the river a big garden where you can stroll, have a picnic or buy something form some local women whom sit there the whole day making beautiful bags, clothes etc.

There are many stairs to go up and down. Be prepared that is can take up to 5 min to climb these stairs 😉

Dining
The dinner was amazing. Fresh products, beautiful presentations and a stunning atmosphere. Local musicians every evening.

Breakfast
A normal buffet breakfast. A la carte is available.

Spa & Gym & Pool
Yes, those are my beautiful legs relaxing by the river after been in the pool for some time. I was alone in the spa the whole afternoon.

I decided to have a scrub and massage in the room instead as I really enjoyed the garden and wanted to take a sleep after to compensate for jetlag and altitude.
